YAY! back from OBS! =) so shiok... OBS was great, alot of events happened there, events that i never encounter before. Met lotsa frens, know lotsa ppl and most importantly... learnt alot of new stuff.
Let me start from the first day. First day when we reached OBS, i was like... sian... Vanessa was in my watch, KURT, jorene was in my watch... But nvm... So on the first day, we did the rock wall climbing and other high elements activities. Vanessa was my partner and i was like very sian lah, cause she really have this unwillingness to complete the high element activity. I helped her climb till half way le and she say she was very tired and couldn't carry on anymore. I tried persuading her to move on but she was that unwilling to telling me that she couldn't feel her arms or what shit. So, having no choice, i climbed to the top on my own lor. But then rite, when i was on the top, Cindy, my instructor, sort of reprimanded me for abandoning my teammate. I was dam pissed at that moment cause it was really not my fault lah, but having set my mind not to yield at anything that is given to me, i went back to the halfway point where vanessa was sitting on the belay to persuade and encourage her to move on. It took me alot of time to persuade her and at the same time drained alot of my energy as i was hanging up there while she could sit on the belay. Haiz, i know it was partly my mistake for abandoning my teammate but she is really a very bad partner with all sorts of craps.
Hmm, then the second day morning we fall in at 5.55a.m for our morning P.T. We were also taught the skills of kayaking ( altho i already know ), and we were set off to the sea for practising. Dam lah, vanessa partner me again. How bad can it just get? I really got nth to say about her kayaking skills lah, she was merely playing with the water while i was the one pushing the 2-person kayak. Her paddle didn even push the water, she was just "cutting" the water in a sense. Haiz... But nvm lah, i can just train myself lor. Btw, i saw melissa, my ex-instructor, too on that day... was so glad i saw her as i was really very very apologetic towards her. I was an attitude kid to her last time and causing her lotsa trouble to her even tho i knew she was a newbie instructor. SOrry melissa, i really meant it.
The third day came for the actual sea expedition. Despite the fact that i was pissed in the early part of the day due to vanessa's complaining, i manage to enjoy myself pretty much for the kayaking expedition. The most fun and interesting part came when we were caught in a big ( and i mean real big) storm in the middle of the sea. The instructors signaled for a raft up near their speed boat, meanwhile trying to pour out the rainwater in their boat. The sky was dam dark and the rain was strong. We manage to raft up safely beside the instructor's speed boat after putting on a strong fight against the fierce current. It was really a scary but entertaining experience that i doubt many of those whom i know could undergo. Tho tired and feeling a little seasick at the last part, i manage to complete the sea expedition and we arrived at our camping site. We went for a fresh water dip in the quarry( filled with clear nice nice rainwater =D ) nearby and cleaned ourselves throughly. We then camped overnite there in our bashas...
The fourth day started with our land expedition. Similarly to the third day, there was a douwnpour the moment we started our expedition. But this time, we were on land. With ponchos on top of us, we continued the long expedition along pulau ubin to places such as the german girl's shrine and the south ubin village. It was really a very very tiring expedition with us carrying heavy bags on our backs and at the same time with jerry cans and bottles in our hands. We arrived at our final destination the OBS campsite 1 at around 4p.m. and everyone went for wash-up. Another fun but tiring activity ended just like this and we went to prepare for our indiana arts festival performance on friday, which was the following day.
The last day, which is today, we went for a final challenge. We raise credits thru games and with those credits, we "bought" materials to build our very own raft and went out to the sea with it. =) fun fun. We then had our lunch, shopped for the souvenirs b4 returning to the multi-purpose hall for the indiana arts festival. Our performance was the most entertaining, with laughter filling the whole hall as brought to us by Jiale, our funny watchmate. haha... AND LET US WELCOME THE CHAMPION WATCH---> KURT! thats us! =) SO HAPPY! haha... We then ended our trip at OBS with a debriefing, some photo taking sessions and autograph sessions. Really miss KURT... tho i do not like some of its members such as vanessa and jorene. I would like to make use of this opportunity to thank all my watchmates and my instructor, Cindy, for making this OBS course a success and enjoyable for me. Thx for showing me guidance and helping me along when i needed u all. u all just rox... =)
And so with that, OBS ended and i am finally back to HOME SWEET HOME. Back to reality, needa face up with hw and the upcoming midyears... haiz, sianz... But we must work hard! WE WILL STRIVE FOR THE BEST! =) --- To Serve To Strive & Not To Yield--- it's our motto and our will :D
Let me present to you... KURT!
Sometimes the truth can be really saddening... So we shld just pretend that we dunno... But some things just can't be ignored...
