1 more week till school reopens, feeling both happy and sad about it at the same time. Happy that school is finally starting, have been quite bored of studying at home whole day long. But sad also because when school reopens, it is mid years exams le and after that it will still be studying. Haiz...
Anyway, today was a slacking day ( which means i slack the whole day, tho i know i ought not to. haha. ). Woke up at 10.30, lie down on the sofa and as usual, took us the remote control and start looking for nice tv programmes to watch. Then, i saw this interesting news article which i decided to read thru. It is about nowadays teens having alot of superficial online frens other than real frens. This article also features a pair of sisters, this 21 year old nicole and her younger sis, celeste, who is 16. ( by the way, that celeste is Xu Bing's GF. For those that watch campus superstar, u all shld know. i didn know at first, till my sis told me. )
Then in the article, it states that these 2 girls were boasting about how popular they were, given that they had a total of 16000 frens online, in both friendster and myspace. Its kinda funny cause the journalist describe these 2 girls as having a hobby of collecting frens since they were young as compared to others who collected stamps and cards. LOL. Personally, i dun think having so much superficial online frens whom u have nva talked to before is much of a big deal. ( from what they say, tho they have 16000 online frens, they only know around 400 of them -____-" ) Its like in friendster, some ppl just accept ppl without knowing who they are, so if u really want your frens count to be a few thousands, u can just go search for the numerous james, mary, tom, and whatever name and just add them all. I'm sure within a week u can get like 1 full account with 1000 frens. So is it some kind of big deal? Not that i'm saying that having alot of frens is not good, just that i dislike the way the girls put it to the reporters. They are like boasting that they are dam popular because of this huge number of frens, and they even said smth like "some ppl only have 50 profile views a month and just 100 friends". HELLO? so what? I seriously think its the quality and not the quantity that counts. so what if she is able to get 10000 profile views a month, so what if she has 5-6 accounts full of frens? Like what she said too, they added her because they like her photos and videos. ( i dun think she is pretty, she just dress little in some photos and try to flawn her assets, if you call that assets. LOL ) But anyway, its just my opinion bah, u guys may think differently but so be it la.
Ya anyway, after i read the newspaper slack here and there, i went off with ah ma and sis to Ah Ting Jie's newly opened beauty salon at clementi. After quite some time, she can finally have her very own beauty salon, feel so happy for her =) Any of my frens want some beauty therapy can just approach her bah, she is an experienced beautician. I've got her namecard so if u guys want, can get it from me. ^^ she is currently having some promotion packages so its actually quite worth it. DO SUPPORT HER! :D
Played with her son brian whole day, and after that came back home and sit down here to blog le bah. Gonna try to study some chem later le.
Feels quite weird that our house is so empty, without mum, dad and 2 younger sisters. Hmm... hope they are enjoying themselves in malaysia.
Had some weird dreams recently, some flashbacks actually. First time having it, dunno what it meant or maybe i'm just superstitous.
